Currently just resumed school and am struggling to settle back in. I HAVE been practicing painting during these gaps between the recent uploads, but the recent pieces do not sit right with me - do not reach even my own standards, so they will not be uploaded. I will try to resume regular updates again, possibly with a more reasonable deadline for myself, perhaps weekly, but this is my final year, so i can keep no promises to anyone who looks at this.

doing these copies of Bakuman was also kind of therapeutic - because while doing it i understood how far i’ve come in terms of drawing, and i had picked up my copies of Bakuman to reread the day before anyway. Another reason would be that i once wanted to be a manga artist and drew heavy inspiration from Bakuman to strive and improve my drawing skills.

the two black and whites are perspective and value tests. Abandoned because i didn’t like hwere it was going. The one on the left was the initial shot, then i expanded it because i felt it was too bland.
the ones in the middle are the most recent wip ive been working on, the one on right being the first shot - i felt it was empty and was thinking of what to add, but i realised the perspective was totally off even as a tilted shot, then proceeded to rework it. Even now i’m doubtful if it’s any good and i’m probably going to hold off work on it until i get a friend to look at it.
The top one is a “cleaner” concept of the Blighted Field, which i believe i posted two other sketches/compositions down below, the composition identifiable by the same color palette i believe.

Sorry for the lack of updates. I didn’t feel much of it was even worth uploading of late. That and my friends say i overwork myself trying to improve, but i’m not so sure if i’m even doing enough.
